Adornment is a one-man studio in the heart of downtown Blacksburg — run by Sean Stahl, who handles every piercing and tattoo himself, with the occasional visiting guest artist.

Sean has been a professional body piercer for 25+ years. He started his career in El Cajon, California (San Diego) at age 16 and helped build Tenacious Ink into one of San Diego County’s top destinations for tattooing and body piercing. After eight years in San Diego he moved to Scranton, Pennsylvania, where he was named Best Piercer in Scranton in 2013. In 2015 he took a position at Danny’s Ancient Art in Blacksburg, Virginia, and now owns and operates Adornment Body Piercing Studio, where he plans to stay and be a part of the Blacksburg community until he retires.

Alongside piercing, Sean also handles the studio’s tattoo work — from custom pieces to walk-ins off the flash wall.

From time to time, Adornment hosts visiting tattoo artists for limited bookings in the studio. Guest spots are irregular and fill fast — the best way to know when someone is coming through is to follow us on Facebook or give the shop a call.
